Menstrual Hygiene Day 28th May 2021

Happy Menstrual Hygiene Day To All.

The theme for this year World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2021 is “Action and Investment in Menstrual Hygiene and Health.”
A world without period poverty and stigma is possible. But to achieve our joint goal by 2030, we cannot wait for the Covid-19 pandemic to end. We need to step up action and investment in menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) NOW!

– everyone can access and afford the menstrual product of their choice
– period stigma is history
– eveyone has basic information about menstruation (this also includes boys and men)
– everyone can access period-friendly water, sanitation & hygiene facilities everywhere.
To end period poverty and stigma by 2030, we need significantly more investment in menstrual health and hygiene NOW!
Thank You So Much for All The Volunteer, Intern And Donor For Their Continious Support And Collaboration

 *****STEPS TO TAKE***** #repost #SHAREtoSaveLives

Given that SARs-COV-2 is a highly infectious and transmissible disease, experts have suggested that it can spread not just by close contact but also through large droplets known as aerosols, released when someone sneezes, coughs, talks or laughs.
1. Wear well-fitted masks - Considering COVID-19 can be transmitted through aerosols, it is important that you wear well-fitted masks at crowded places or while talking to someone. Additionally, the CDC also recommends double masking as a means to prevent the spread of the virus. Experts believe that it could provide an extra layer of protection from the virus, leading to lowered risks of infection and transmissibility.

2. Practice social distancing
According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), maintaining a 6 feet of distance from one another is of utmost importance and can help in preventing the spread of the deadly virus. This not only protects us from symptomatic and sick people, but also ensures that we are not infected by people who suffer with no symptoms and are silent carriers. Apart from that, if you feel you are sick with COVID-19, avoid going near anyone, especially the most vulnerable.
3. Stay at home and go out only in case of emergency
During such times, when the virus is everywhere, it is important that you stay home and avoid going out frequently. As much as you would want to believe so, no one is immune to the virus. Therefore, step out of your homes only when there is an emergency. Stay home. Stay safe and keep others safe.
4.Wash and sanitize your hands regularly
Experts believe that the SARs-COV-2 virus can latch on to the objects or surfaces. While the virus has the ability to linger on for a while, you may come in contact with the contaminated surfaces and may get infected by the same. Therefore, it is important to wash and sanitize your hands regularly. Do not forget to disinfect the frequently touched surfaces and objects and maintain a healthy hygiene.
5.Proper ventilation system is a must
Studies have also suggested that COVID-19 is more transmissible indoors than outdoors. Which is why it is important to ensure a good ventilation system.
6. Most common symptoms to watch out for
Apart from the precautionary COVID measures, people must watch out for certain symptoms and signs of COVID-19 that could in turn suggest the next step to treatment. There have been many different and varied ranges of symptoms and while the list continues to increase and expand, the most common symptoms remain to be the same. At such times of chaos and conflict, it is crucial to note the most classic symptoms of COVID-19, so as to detect the virus at an early stage. Here are some of the most common COVID symptoms.
- Fever
- Dry cough
- Sore throat
- Runny and stuffy nose
- Chest pain and shortness of breath
- Fatigue
- Gastrointestinal infection
- Loss of sense of smell and taste
7. With the onset of symptoms, isolate yourself
In case, you experience the symptoms mentioned about, isolate yourself and avoid coming in contact with anyone, at home or outside. Schedule a test and home-quarantine yourself until the result comes out as negative.
8. How to treat mild COVID-19 at home?
Mild COVID symptoms do not need medical attention and can be treated at home. Once you notice signs of coronavirus infections, you must isolate yourself for at least one week until you have recovered and continue monitoring your symptoms.
Staying hydrated during the course of your infection is of utmost important. Apart from that, you must take good rest during such times. Prescribed pain relievers can ease your symptoms. However, do not engage in any medications without your doctors approval. Seek medical advice and do not panic.
9. When to seek medical help?
People at a higher risk of severe or critical infections usually include older people and those with pre-existing health conditions. However, many young individuals are also experiencing severe COVID complications in the second wave of coronavirus. That said, in case your symptoms continue to worsen, you must watch out for these emergency symptoms that indicated a medical emergency.
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent chest pain
- Mental confusion
- Bluish lips
- Inability to stay awake
Seek medical attention as and when you notice these symptoms.
